The Casual Society (CS) began as collection of various kinships all looking to do instances and raids were looking for more like-minded folks after the server merges in 2015. For over a decade we have been meeting new people, making friends, and running group content.

During the Grey Mountains level cap (120) Casual Society began regularly scheduled raiding; starting with just tier 1 to start with but slowly progressing into tier 2 for some of the instances.

It was around then that Brinuw, one of the leaders of CS, started writing guides and even after all these years they haven’t stopped.

These days the Casual Society lives on the Peregrin server where we continue to run instances and share information

With the start of Kingdoms of Harad level cap (160) it was decided to merge the main Casual Society raiding group with Raiders Anonymous, another raiding group whom many of us were already running with. This formed Casually Anonymous Raiding Society (CARS). CARS went on to achieve Peregrin Server completions of both tier 2 and tier 3 The Folly of Nagakhêdi.

About the Author

I am Brinuw, the current leader of the Casual Society as well as one of the Co-leaders of the Casually Anonymous Raiding Society.

I started playing Lord of the Rings Online along side some of my college roommates in 2010 (god I’m old) and while they have long since stopped playing I yet remain.

My first character was my Lore Master and have always enjoyed the complexity of the various buffs and debuffs that go into the games combat. While I have extended my roster of classes to cover all of them to varying levels of success, I tend to specialize in the Defensive Support role.
